Chapter 1 Introduction

Tracks is a Web-based application that helps you organize your work and personal life. Use Tracks to help you get things done on time.

Tracks is an open source application built using Ruby on Rails. You can find the project site here. If you have suggestions for improvement, bugs you want to report, or just curious about how an open source project brings something like Tracks to life…visit their site.

Currently, this version of the application runs on a Morph AppSpace. A Morph AppSpace is an application delivery environment that runs on a highly secure enterprise-grade platform – the Morph Application Platform. This means that the application is fault tolerant and your data is continually backed up. Your data is also private – for your eyes only.

As a point of interest, this application was deployed in less than five minutes directly from the code provided by the open source project. We then added the Morph eXchange single sign-on library to integrate it with www.morphexchange.com – that took about one hour to integrate, test, and re-launch.

You can access Tracks from any computer via the Internet. All you need is a Morph eXchange account. Sign up on Morph eXchange and subscribe to Tracks for free.

Morph Labs brings you a free version of Tracks. If you like using Tracks, please make a donation directly to the open source project to help them keep building a great project. You can use PayPal to make a donation, large or small on their Web site located here.
