Section 5.1 Creating Help Pages
Morph helpME displays the Pages window by default. Each Help system automatically has an index document when the Help system is created. The Index document can be edited and deleted just like any other page. For example, for this guide we edited the index to contain the title and content for the first chapter, Chapter 1 About the Morph helpME User Guide. Once a user accesses the Morph helpME User Guide, this page is first displayed.
Follow these steps to create new pages:
1. In the menu bar, click Pages. This displays:

2. In the upper right corner of the Help Page table, click Create New. The window displays the Create Help Page form:

3. Enter a unique name in the Name field. You must enter the text in this format:
chapter_number_title.
4. Type the page title in the Title field. The Title field will be displayed at the top of your help pages.
Example:
Chapter 3.1 Creating Help Pages
5. Enter a Chapter name in the field provided. The Chapter field is used to create the Table of Contents. By default, the Table of Contents is displayed to the left of the help pages, as you see is this guide. The Chapter field typically contains the chapter number and chapter title.
Example:
3.1 Creating Help Pages
You must manually enter your section numbers and chapter numbers into the Chapter field, which is explained in this chapter. Morph helpME will then automatically sort them into the correct order.
6. To include tags, enter Tags in the field provided. If you wish to add Tags in the list, refer to Section 7.1 Creating Tags.
You can enter tags by doing any of the following:
- Select and enter tags which were added using the Tags menu. Once you type a letter, the saved tags are displayed on a drop-down list. For more information on this, refer to Chapter 7 Using Tags .
- You can also automatically create new tags by entering any text in the Tags field.
Tags refer to labels or keywords that you add to a help page. When you create new pages, you should add tags to help group similar content and make it easier for your end-user to find information.
7. Enter Content in the field provided. The Preview is shown below the Content box.
8. If you wish to format your content, you may use the various menu buttons shown across the top of the Content box. Alternatively, you can use the Textile Markup Language which allows you more control and has more features. With Textile, you can embed markup characters in the text to format the document. For example, to bold a word the text in the Content box would look like this:
This is *BOLD*.
The Textile Markup Language is explained in a later section.
