Appendix A. Customizing Cascading Style Sheets

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a method for adding style to Web pages. Web page styles define how HTML elements are displayed. CSS allows you to customize the Web page style and layout of multiple Web pages all at once.

Follow these steps to customize the CSS:

This feature is for advanced users who have prior experience in CSS.

1. In the menu bar, select the Configurations menu.

2. Select Use my own CSS from the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) drop-down list located at the bottom of the page. This displays:

3. In the Override Theme’s CSS field, you can Browse to upload your own CSS. Alternatively, you can edit the CSS from the currently selected theme. Follow the instructions below for each option:

To upload your own CSS:

a. Click Browse to select your CSS from your local system.

b. Proceed to step 4 below.

To customize an existing CSS:

a. Click the current theme CSS link. This link is located beneath the Override Theme’s CSS box. For example, if you are currently using the Caterpillar theme this link points to the CSS for the Caterpillar theme, if you are using the Minimalistic theme it points to the CSS for that, and so on.

b. Copy and paste the CSS into an editor.

c. Edit or customize the CSS using your text editor.

d. Save the customized CSS file locally.

e. Upload the customized CSS into Morph helpME by clicking the Browse button.

f. Proceed to step 4 below.

4. Click Save Configuration. Morph helpME automatically updates your customized theme.

5. Preview your new theme from the Preview Site menu.
